Agent Recruitment
Independent agents for your agency, sourced from real freight relationships and screened before you meet them.
Who it's for
Freight brokerages and agencies adding independent (1099) agents to their network. Hiring employees instead? See Candidate Placement.
How a search works
- Agent profileYou send a written profile: the lanes and modes you want, your commission split, and the support and systems you provide. I don't introduce anyone before this.
- SourcingI source agents from my own industry network and screen them before you hear a name.
- IntroductionI introduce agents in writing, with what I learned in screening.
- ConversationsYou talk to them and give timely feedback, and I keep the search moving with regular updates.
- SigningWhen an agent signs with you, the signing fee is due within 30 days of the start date.
- GuaranteeIf the agent leaves within 90 days of the start date, I run a replacement search at no additional signing fee.
What you get
- Agents sourced from my own industry network, not job-board postings
- Screening on freight experience, customer and lane focus, and references
- A written agent profile that defines the search before it begins
- Written introductions that include what I learned in screening
- Regular updates as the search progresses
- A 90-day replacement guarantee on the signing fee
What I need from you
- A written agent profile with your target lanes, commission split, and support
- Timely feedback on the agents I introduce
- A monthly gross profit statement for each agent who signs
Terms in plain language
- The fee is $2,500 per agent who signs with you, plus 3% of that agent's gross profit each month for their first 12 months.
- Gross profit means customer revenue minus carrier and direct freight costs on the loads the agent books, before the agent's commission.
- You send a statement within 15 days of each month end, and the revenue share is due within 30 days of month end. I can review load-level records to verify the numbers.
- The guarantee covers the signing fee and is a replacement, not a refund. The revenue share stops when the agent leaves.
- An agent I introduce in writing is mine for 12 months from the introduction. If you sign that agent in that window, the fees apply.
- I don't promise any agent's book of business, and I don't ask agents to bring customer lists or confidential information from another agency.
- Agents are never charged a fee of any kind, directly or indirectly. I'm paid only by the agency.
